Adrian, Mark and Alistair have been working on the RIB to get us seaworthy for the summer (and hopefully the spring). The unused aerial which just gets in the way has been removed as has the wires going to it. The GPS it was plumbed into which didn't really work has also been removed. The aerial's last useful job was to model our lovely JBOD flag from Kevin at East Midlands who organised the recent Menai RIB Run. The unused depth gauge and speedometers were also removed being
After what seemed an endless wait through the dark days of winter the JBOD diving season kicked off with our first overnight trip of 2018. Not that our diving season ever ends really as we dive throughout the year! Alistair put some considerable thought was put into the recording of the dive. He dismissed his DSLR as being a little too delicate and his baby Nikon doesn't have the depth rating. Eventually he decided to invest in a Paralenz and use video. The results are mixed.
Arthur's Easter trip to Eyemouth was sadly blown out so, still keen to dive, Adrian drove John, Hannah and Alan all the way to Loch Long and back on Friday. (Thanks to Mandy for babysitting Otto!)
