John and Alistair went to Malta for a week to join Dennis Wigg's deep tech trip. The targets for the diving included SS Polynesian, HMS Stubborn, the Schnellboot and the HMS Southwold. While on the trip John intended to qualify for his MOD2 whereas Alistair was just diving and taking photos. Travel to Malta was with Air Malta to take advantage of the extra baggage deal because travelling with dry suit, rebreather and full diving kit is a very heavy process. The JBOD party was
John, Alistair, Mark and Sarah met at Capernwray for an exclusive Sunday bimble with rebreathers only. John and Alistair were having a final dive before going to Malta whereas Mark and Sarah were getting their units wet for the first time since they arrived back from getting new handsets.

Adrian, John, Alan and Alistair met at Costa on the A55 as usual for a trip to Wales. It was 0800 and it was a bit too early especially as Costa hadn't opened when Alistair arrived. After coffee and breakfast the team set off again and after getting a little lost in Nefyn and Tudweiliog arrived in time for high water. Everyone dived together along the far wall of the cove.
