JBOD's training team were at Capernwray to help train the students of Aberystwyth University SAC on the 24th of April. It was a lovely day and progress was made for some trainee Sports Divers doing SMB and line laying drills as well as some trainee Ocean Divers taking the first steps into their diving careers.
Alistair and John went to Wast Water to get a bit of depth progression before the planned deep trips later in the year. It was also an opportunity for John to try two stages with his rebreather.

John, Adrian and Alistair made the long trip South to dive in Stoney Cove. John and Alistair, despite diving for over ten years, had never been to Stoney whereas in contrast Adrian was a local with a few visits. Alan was delayed coming home from Madeira so couldn't make it. Dive 1 was a surface swim to the buoy over the deep bit and dropping down the line to the bottom at around 35m. John, Alistair and Adrian got a pass out for Easter Monday despite managing a couple of days in Eyemouth already that long weekend. They had a couple of good dives to each end of the quarry meeting seven of the sturgeon.
